Review of His Fobidden Princess by Jeannie Moon

Ian Stuart is a special agent. He's been guarding dignitaries. Now has to guard the Crown Princess Sofia of Aubonne who he had been in love with 8 years earlier, until her mother showed up and pointed out Sofia's duty. Then Ian broke it off. Sofia's older brother had been killed by a rebel faction, which left Sofia the heir to the throne. Ian headed a squad of counter-terrorism specialists. Seeing Ian again had reminded Sofia what it was like to be so in love that it hurt. Sofia's family had been attacked on the way through the mountains and her younger sister was hurt. Ian was to take Sofia out of hotel. He decided to take her to his family's place on Shelter Island.
Sofia was more naturally emotional than the rest of her family. Sofia still felt easy with Ian, even though he had broken her heart.Ian felt Sofia's voice was music and always loved to hear her talk. Sofia was a princess, but she had plenty of grit. She had become independent to a degree. I found her to be loyal, loving, and kind. She loved her family, but Ian was the one for her. She was feisty and didn't do well with following orders. Ian was trustworthy, loyal, kind and caring. I found Ian to be strong and protective. He, too, had only one true love and it was Sofia.
I loved the whole story. It was great, especially since it was a novella and still managed to tell a whole story. Great writing, great plot. I highly recommend it.
