Review of Savage Chains by Caris Roane

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review**
Angelica leads a very normal life. She's an accountant, takes care of her mother, and basically sticks to a routine. It's been a long time since she's had ANY kind of relationship with a man. There's one man that she's had an eye on for a long time: Reyes, a mysterious man that goes to the same club she sometimes frequents. One night, she decides to throw caution to the wind and give him an offer she doesn't want him to refuse. When he does, she decides to leave. As she's getting to her car, she's kidnapped. Reyes really wants Angelica too. However, he knows she has no place in his twisted life as he fights to bring down a huge vampire sex-slave ring. When he finally gets the IN he was working for, he attends his first slave auction and finds that Angelica is up for bids. He can't help but win her even if it costs him his cover. Now that he has her, he must convince her to help him on his mission. When she agrees, her being there becomes much more than just about a mission.
Because of his years as a sex-slave, Reyes is on a lifelong mission to end all slave rings. Above that, he has no real ties. Somehow, Angelica is one that has wiggled enough that he starts to think about more than just his mission. At the beginning of this book. Reyes is still just as scarred as when he was a slave. Throughout the book he is able to start healing through Angelica's determination to help him at the cost of her heart. I really liked Angelica. She's very determined to do what has to be done, even in situations where she's way over her head with vampires and is not only saving herself but Reyes too. There were definitely some hawt scenes between these two.
I really enjoyed this book. The main theme of sex-slavery (albeit without vampires) is a real horror in today's world so it's interesting to read stories around them. I definitely recommend this book. Not really for the faint of heart.
