Review of Daemon Seer by Mary Maddox


**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review**
Ken was Luanda's boss and had figured out who she really was. Luanda had seen her dad kill in front of her. She worked at CyberWatch. Ken's revelation had made Luanda nervous. Luanda had been kidnapped 10yrs ago when she was 15 by a serial killer. She was now Lu Darlington since the serial killer's book had come out. Lisa Duncan had also been with Luanda with Rad, the serial killer. He had destroyed Lisa's face. The mention of the book, Profess of Death, spooked Lisa. Lisa had had several operations to rebuild her face but she would never again be beautiful. Lu thought back to her abduction. Rad had become The Destroyer. He had intended to take her soul as well as her life. Talion, a Daemon, had saved Lu. Lu knows Lisa is running from something or somebody. Lu tells Lisa she's running from someone who smiles a lot. Lisa tells Lu to get out of her head. Lu told Lisa they were somehow connected. Lu told Lisa she could talk to her. Lisa told her Grifford Riley was after her.
I found Lu to be loyal and tough, as she was a survivor. She was determined and stubborn until pain overtakes her.
I don't usually get into possession stories, but this was actually pretty good. I recommend it.

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Maddy was dating an angel, MJ. MJ is a protector who has broken a lot of rules, but some he had to keep. MJ told Maddy she was his heart and he would fight before he would let anyone take her. Maddy had some special powers of her own. The characters were good, especially Maddy, who was overwhelmed with powers she couldn't control and the love she couldn't state and MJ. The plot was good as was the overall story. It dragged a little bit, but overall a good story. I recommend, although I didn't like the ending.

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Maggie was at a wedding reception and at the reject table, met a handsome man named Chad Robertson. He was from Tennessee and he was an attorney. Maggie was a cake decorator and childhood friend of Fiona, the bride. Maggie and her sister Emily had formed Two Heart Catering two months before. Emily called Maggie away from Chad as the cake had been ruined. Maggie was the responsible and reliable half of the company. Emily was the creative cook. Chad was attracted to Maggie and recently he had decided he was bored. Emily is the drama queen, and even though she's younger, Maggie has been brought up to take care of her.
