Review of The Reaper's Daughter by KM Randall

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review**
Blake was on the cheer squad in college. Hailey was the team captain and resented Blake as she was dating her ex-boyfriend, Geoff. Blake's best friend is Shelby, who refused to get involved in sports and wouldn't join team spirit. Geoff and her had gone to high school together. He was a year ahead of her. They had always been friends. Last year he asked Blake out and they had been together ever since. Shelby called Blake an adrenaline junky and she kind of agreed. Shelby called and was crying, saying there was an accident. Blake ran out not far from her house and saw Shelby and Geoff's truck. She had been planning on sleeping with Geoff that night for the very first time and it was also her birthday. Shelby told her Geoff was dead. Rishi showed up and offered to show Blake her mother, who her father had told her died in a car accident. She see's Geoff's spirit as she'd seen one spirit earlier. She and Geoff, in spirit form, go with Rishi and meet her mother, who happens to be the Grim Reaper. She was told she had to lead Geoff to the other side. She refused and said she couldn't let him go. Blake and Rishi are half breeds, half human and half death. Blake is a loyal person. She's caring and honest. She's totally befuddled to find her mother alive and was the Grim Reaper. She didn't exactly feel loved by her mother. Blake grew as the story progressed. She let go of the boy she loved and started to feel for another. She accepted the new role she had in life and all of the changes.
It was a good book and I recommend it.
