Review of Spring Tide by K. Dicke

Against the wishes of her friends and family, Kris Edwards decided to take a year off of school before starting college. She and her friends are spending the Summer at Corpus Christi, where she plans on spending her year off. While there, she meets Jericho, a surfer who won't give up no matter how many times she turns him down. When she finally relents and starts to date him, she feels very much at peace as they start to connect. However, she feels there's definitely much more to him than he will admit. She's just not sure if that's good or bad.
Overall, I liked the characters of this story. It was mostly in Kris's POV, but the snippets in Jericho's are what kept me reading. His POV let you know there was definitely something big going on while he's determined to show Kris that she's the one he's been waiting for for years. The story itself is very slow moving. Nothing really happens until close to the ends. Then it kind of cuts off and you are left waiting until the sequel comes out. I would recommend it for those that don't mind a slow build into a new supernatural world. The characters are interesting to follow and almost make it worth reading.
