Review: Royal Chase

Image
Royal Chase by Sariah Wilson My rating: 5 of 5 stars Lemon’s best friend is Kat and she was engaged to a prince. Nico, the prince’s brother Dante went on a reality show called Marry Me to direct attention to his country Monterria for tourist reasons. However, Lemon had promised to be there for him while he was on the show. She had started up a PR firm and his family was her only client at this point. Great story with all the ins and outs that Lemon and Dante went thru to find true love. Was just great reading. I love the story, plot, and of course the characters. I highly recommend. **I received an ARC of this story for an honest interview View all my reviews

Review: Seducing a Wolf

Image
Seducing a Wolf by Krystal Shannan My rating: 4 of 5 stars Alejandro “Alex” Sureda’s task is to find the evil wolf’s daughter, get her to her suite and find her tablet. However, once he gets near her in the club, his magic pulls him right to her, only, she’s human when she definitely shouldn’t be. Julianna Rossi is Adrian Rossi’s daughter. Only, she doesn’t know his dark secrets. She only knows to clean up his messes and gets opportunities to relax only when he’s gone. When she meets Alex, she has know idea why she has such a pull to him, she only knows she doesn’t want it to end. This was another great piece to the overall story that I loved, until the very end. I felt that Alex was deservedly given payback for the way he had treated Rain and Nora. I liked getting to know Julianna also. The only thing I had a small problem with was how quick she forgave him. I know it’s a novella, so they’re quick, and there’s a bond, but with her being human she’s

Review: Chasing a Wolf

Image
Chasing a Wolf by Camryn Rhys My rating: 4 of 5 stars Tomas Rivera and the rest of the enforcers have split up to find out which mountain pack was able to put a stop to the evil wolf. When he’s essentially drugged and forced into a sex tent, the one that seduces him isn’t the one that was supposed to be in there. Citlani is desperate to find her mother. When she gives herself to the stranger, marrying him in her tribe’s traditions and forcing a bond, she hopes her body is enough to get him to help her since nobody in her tribe will. Like the others in this series, this book was really good. It was really quick. I enjoyed reading Citlani’s inner struggle as she deals with the traditions she was raised with and the outsider that is Tomas and the fact that he isn’t acting like any of the men she grew up with or was warned about. I love the continuation of the growing overall story and can’t wait for the next part. I highly recommend. **I received an ARC

Review: The Werewolf Ranger

Image
The Werewolf Ranger by Krystal Shannan My rating: 5 of 5 stars Ranier Dubois is getting ready to head to Mexico with the other enforcers from the other packs. While awaiting orders, the snooty wolf from the East Coast, Nora Cavanaugh grabs him for a quick tryst. Nora refuses to acknowledge anything with Rain, even though they can’t seem to keep their hands to themselves, even though it seems to be endangering their case. I really loved following Rain as he unraveled the mystery that was Nora. I also loved the continuation of the overall story to find the evil wolf. it was a very quick and enjoyable read. I highly recommend. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review. View all my reviews

Review: The Werewolf Bodyguard

Image
The Werewolf Bodyguard by Camryn Rhys My rating: 5 of 5 stars Marco DiSanti is a top chef in Las Vegas. He’s also a werewolf that’s never met another werewolf. While schmoozing the top-paying clientele, he scents something he’s only scented one other time, another werewolf. He can’t believe it when it also turns out to be a beautiful woman. Aria LaBlanc isn’t sure what to make of the werewolf that seems to be as full of it as a stuffed pastry. With the week she’s been having, she doesn’t have a lot of patience for his antics. When he claims he’s never met any other werewolves, she immediately contacts her alpha to figure out truth whether he likes it or not. I was happy to see Aria find happiness in the end. She’s basically had her world turned upside down and trying to cope. In the same aspect, she basically turns Marco’s world upside down, but in the end they are able to make it through together. I’m also really getting into the overall plot that s

Review: The Werewolf Cowboy

Image
The Werewolf Cowboy by Krystal Shannan My rating: 5 of 5 stars Of all the VonBrondt’s in Somewhere, TX, Allan is the most human-like. He embraces his role as sheriff and protector of humans. He doesn’t believe in the idea of pre-destined mates and even plans on eventually marrying a human. When there are packs from other states in his town, Allan is very leary, especially when he’s called to the bar over a disturbance. Reyna DuBois is the daughter of the alpha from Louisiana and she embodies everything Allan hates about wolves. When she feels the mate magic after scenting Allan, she pulls out all of the stops to rope the cowboy, even as he runs in the other direction. I was really happy to see Allan finally get his own book. I loved watching the back and forth between him and Reyna as he fought his destiny. It was quick, but full of story. I loved it and highly recommend. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review

Saving Jason by E.J. Hanagan My rating: 5 of 5 stars Jason is having an on-going battle with PTSD. Even the people who love him can't seem to help him. He still has a friendship with his ex Samantha, then he meets Abby. This novel was totally awesome. The ups and downs and the relationship formed between Samantha Abby. Image
Return of the Ascendant by Raine Thomas My rating: 5 of 5 stars Kyra was a college student, anticipating her upcoming birthday. When it comes, she finds she's not really who she thought herself to be. I loved how Kyra handled everything being shot at her, all the ins and outs of finding out she is someone different and starts remembering her past. This was a truly awesome plot and overall story. The characters were out of this world. I highly recommend. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review View all my reviews

Review: Research Purposes Only

Image
Research Purposes Only by Terry Towers My rating: 5 of 5 stars Monica Evans was an erotic story author. After a year in a dead relationship, she decides to take some time to spread her wings in Europe. Her first stop is Amsterdam where she plans on doing some up close and personal research for her books. When she goes to the red light district, she sees Mitchell, the man who sat next to her on the plane. When she finds out he’s on the menu, he introduces her to his best friend Xander and thus begins her research. Do Not Read Without A Fan!!!! This story really made me want to become an author and do my own research!!! Really though, it was a really good story. It’s mostly in Monica’s POV but we also get a little bit of insight into Xander’s and Mitchell’s POVs and understand a little bit about why they do what they do. It’s definitely a story in many women’s fantasies but you can’t help but wish it were happening to you. I highly recommend to anyone

Review: Outliers: three novels of romantic suspense

Image
Outliers: three novels of romantic suspense by PJ Adams My rating: 5 of 5 stars Before I break down each book, let me start by saying that this author does an excellent job of writing about strong female characters. I get peeved when I read books where the female has a mousy character, but I never have to worry about it with her. All three of these stories are very different from each other and very good. I highly recommend any of them for anyone not looking for a typical romance. Book 1-Winner Take All - 5 Stars Cassandra “Cassie” Dane was tending bar in a tiny town in Maine on one of the last nights before the season was over. Nothing out of the ordinary until Denny McGowan comes in, soaked to the bone in a tuxedo and nothing else. After spending the evening talking to him, Cassie is irrevocably drawn to him. But with him comes danger and Cassie isn’t sure who to trust. Well, this book definitely kept me guessing. The author did such a good job wit

Review: All Wrapped Up

Image
All Wrapped Up by Kimberly Kincaid My rating: 3 of 5 stars Ava is a reporter in Pine Mountain. For the past 5 years she’s been given crap stories all because of a screw up she made with an article. When a fire breaks out at the local grocery story and the hero turns out to be none other than the man whose heart she broke 7 years earlier, Ava knows this is what she needs to break back into her boss’s good graces. This book wasn’t bad. The author told a decent story and did a good detail on the characters. I am just not much into light-hearted stories if I can help it, so it was hard for me to buy into some of the characters actions. However, I’d still recommend it to those that like this genre. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review View all my reviews

Review: Dirty Little Lies

She decides to take the steps in a magazine article to reshape her life and get her ex-boyfriend back. During her journey she meets Gabe. He introduces her to a sexual side she didn’t know she had. This book was pretty decent. There really wasn’t much in the way of surprises. Some scenes were pretty hot. I would read more from this author and recommend. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review View all my reviews

Review: You Are Mine

Image
You Are Mine by Janeal Falor My rating: 4 of 5 stars Serena belongs to a warlock. She has to do whatever he wishes or suffer the consequences. Then she is sold again and once again has to do her new master's bidding. Then she breaks the rules, expecting to be punished, but isn't. I loved Serena's journey in this book. I found it very interesting as I was raised free. Even if in a fantasy way as there are still women in this world that aren't free, it still gave me some insight. I really liked the plot, overall story and especially the characters. I highly recommend. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review View all my reviews

Review: The Moral Line

Image
The Moral Line by Vanessa Bogenholm My rating: 4 of 5 stars Alexandria was a wine expert. She also had a day job. She had been married a couple of years and on her third husband when she finally kicked him out after he rejected her and slept on the couch. She had been in financial crisis for a while, when a man asked her to go to a party as his date and he'd pay her. The story talks of Alexandria form a failed marriage to the ins and outs of a call girl. I have to admit I didn't think I'd like this story at first but as the story went on it became more interesting. It was very interesting to see how she reacts to all the different situations in her life. I really liked the characters, plot and overall story. I recommend to anyone that likes this genre. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review View all my reviews

Review: Vintage

Vintage by Lisa Suzanne My rating: 5 of 5 stars Roxy grew up in a wealthy family. Her father was a rock star. Roxy worked at Vintage. She had lived in a vacuum since her boyfriend had walked out on her a year before. Then she heard a voice on an album that seemed to wake her up. Then she met him at Vintage when his band was doing a promotion, but she knew she should stay away from him. He would bring her back to life and she liked the void because she didn't hurt or feel. I liked all of the ins and outs Roxy went through until she let true love win. It was a great story and plot with a little danger thrown in, and excellent characters. I highly recommend. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review View all my reviews

Review: Black Magic Academy

Black Magic Academy by Emily Martha Sorensen My rating: 4 of 5 stars Mildred's family was a family of bad witches. Mildred was a good person and didn't want to be a bad witch. She was sent to a school for witches. In the school, Mildred was not a part of the popular crowd as her mother had been, but she didn't care. This book was just an enjoyable read, with witches, giants, curses, death enemy, and so much more. I enjoyed this plot and overall story, but more than anything I enjoyed getting to know Mildred. I recommend. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review View all my reviews

He was the rebel of the family. LuAnn had a crush on Brad since they'd moved in together. Brad decided to let her say with him for the month until graduation. Review: Denying Ecstasy

Image
Denying Ecstasy by Setta Jay My rating: 5 of 5 stars Rain is a water Mageia that has been staying at the Guardians’ manor on Tetaros after being captured by someone determined to run experiments on Mageia. She’s been there for a few weeks and noticed a painful attraction to Dorian, who seemed angry at her for no reason and avoids her like the plague. After finding out she is his destined mate and that why he’s been avoiding her, Rain is furious with him. When she decides to take matters into her own hand, Dorian finally decides to claim his mate. I enjoyed reading Rain and Dorian’s story as well as the continued overall storyline of the Guardians series by this author. Getting to know Dorian and everything he had been through, as well as how he had to change so he felt worthy of his mate was really great to experience. Have I mentioned the hawt scenes?? Review: Weird Nights

Image
Weird Nights by Rebecca Royce My rating: 5 of 5 stars Mindy’s life has changed dramatically over the past 6 months. After moving to Chicago to learn how to defend herself, she’s established herself as no longer a victim, someone that can handle serious situations and can help others. She just wished that Jonah didn’t criticize her so much. Jonah has been crazy about Mindy since the first time he saw her in Austin. He just can’t seem to say the right thing to get her to feel the same about him. During a tense situation, he finally tells her he wants her, and she is determined to show him the feeling is mutual. This was a really good story. I loved Mindy’s character. She refuses to back down from anything if it means saving someone, especially someone she cares about. She’s also determined to never be weak again. While we didn’t get a good look at her personality in Strange Days, it’s obvious how much she’s gone through and how that’s affected her. Gre

The problem is every time they have a chance meeting, she panics and rudely leaves. When she gets called to pick her best friend up at the ER, Christian happens to be coming home from his stripper job and insists on helping her. I’m not really sure what I expected, but this turned out to be a really great story that I read in one sitting. I loved Dodie’s personality. She felt like a kindred spirit to my own. Christian reminded me of Magic Mike meets Buffy. I liked getting to know him, especially his determination to win Dodie over while saving her and the city. I highly recommend and can’t wait to read more. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review View all my reviews

Review of Exposure by Kelly Moran - 5 Stars

Raven Crowne lives in a small town in Alaska. Her life is very organized and content: she owns her own art gallery, she has her two best friends, and everything is set to a certain degree. Every year on her birthday she gets an anonymous sexy card, but this time it was hand delivered with an invitation to meet. When she finds out it’s her best friend Noah, and he wants to temporarily change their friendship, her entire world is thrown off her axis. Noah has waited 10 years for it to be safe enough to claim Raven like he’s always wanted to. When she finally accepts his proposal, he can’t wait to start. This is the first erotic book from this author, so i wasn’t sure what to expect since I’m only familiar with her awesome Ghost series. However, this book had me at start. I read through it so quickly I didn’t realize how many pages it was. Where some authors write erotic as sleezy porn, she didn't’ do that. She made the scenes hawt and very creative and you were so engrossed into it,

The characters and plot were great. I highly recommend. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review View all my reviews

Review: No Interest in Love

Image
No Interest in Love by Cassie Mae My rating: 3 of 5 stars Jace had dyslexia, so reading was very hard for him, but as a teenager he had decided he wanted to be an actor. Shay was Jace's agent. The story and plot was ok, just a little out there. It seemed to drag at times but the characters themselves were good. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review View all my reviews

Review: Under the Spotlight

Image
Under the Spotlight by Kate Willoughby My rating: 5 of 5 stars Christine was an actress hoping to break into the big time. Joe Rutherford played hockey for the San Diego Barracudas. Christine wanted to ask Joe a favor even though she thought they had never met. It seemed to be so realistic, I could understand the different scenarios and emotions going through the characters and the ins and outs of this story. The characters were great as was the plot and overall story. I highly recommend. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review View all my reviews

Review: When We Fall

Image
When We Fall by Marquita Valentine My rating: 5 of 5 stars Piper had a certain innocence about her. Much as Jase wants her, he can't let it happen. Piper was Jase's sister Rowan's best friend and former roommate. Jase had been in prison and considered himself undesirable by many, especially by Piper's family. I loved the way everything came together. How everything fell into place, even though in some place, even in a complicated way and others seemed so easily accomplished. The characters were great as was the plot and overall story. I highly recommend. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review View all my reviews

Review of A Trooper To Love By Marie Carnay and Alana Hart - 4 Stars

Image
Tabitha recently transplanted to Pinetree, Alaska from Seattle, taking over as town veterinarian. When Trooper Jake busts in her office, determined to get her to save a baby moose, even though she’s furious, she can’t help but notice how hot he is. After Jake notices how attractive the vet is, he offers up an apology by taking her to dinner. Unfortunately for her, Jake is determined to avoid members of the opposite sex. However, Tabitha refuses to take no for an answer. This was a pretty good story. It was quick and hot and had a good plot to it. My only complaint, which kept it from being a 5 star, is that, while I love reading about strong females, Tabitha was a bit over-the-top. Then again, many of the other characters were the exact opposite, so without her determined personality, there probably wouldn't’ have been much of a story to read:) I recommend for anyone that likes this genre. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review

Review of Weird Nights by Rebecca Royce - 5 Stars

Mindy’s life has changed dramatically over the past 6 months. Great story and underlying continual series plot. I highly recommend. **I received an A

Review of To Win Her Trust by Mackenzie Crowne - 5 Stars

CC Calhoun has some big phobias she is determined to conquer by her next birthday. While waiting for coffee at a coffee shop, the guy at the counter is holding up the line while flirting with the barista. When he turns around to respond to several peoples’ comments, CC can’t help but notice how handsome he is, but she can definitely tell he’s a player. Kevin “Tuck” Tucker plays for the Manhattan Marauders and embodies the word “Player”, but when he turns around and sees the blonde behind him, he can’t get her out of his mind. When she starts to go into a panic attack, he does the first thing that comes to mind, kiss her. Now that he’s kissed her, he’s as determined as ever to track her down. The best thing about this book and this author, is how she can take an unlikable character at the beginning of a story and completely change them around. When I started reading the book, it was abundantly clear that Tuck is a womanizing dog, even though he’s pretty honest about it. When readin
