Review: Smoldering Hunger

Smoldering Hunger Smoldering Hunger by Donna Grant
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It’s been two weeks since Dr. Sophia Martin had seen Darius. Two weeks since he brought her body to life and made her realize how lonely she was. When he suddenly reappears and seduces her again and yet again disappears, she's determined to keep her walls up. When a mysterious man named Ulrik does up at the hospital wanting to propose a job opportunity to her, she immediately recognizes him as someone to stay away from, but someone also one who has experienced similar pain. Ulrik’s gives Darius the excuse he needs to be close to Sophia again. Ever since the first time he saw her and had her, he’s been unable to get her out of his head.

First off, I loved this entire book. I loved being brought back into Donna Grant’s world of the Dragon Kings and after meeting Darius and Sophia in the previous books, I was happy to start this set. As with the author’s other books, this one pulls you right in as we experience what Sophia is going through after having experienced a few hours with Darius. For her, it’s an emotional rollercoaster of sorts as she isn’t the type to let anyone close. We also get a bigger view at what is happening to Rhi and other characters whose world is evolving. I am DYING to get the fully story on Rhi and Con. I highly recommend.
