Review of Patyon's Pursuit by Joanne Jaytanie - 5 Stars

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Payton is one of three triplets. She manages Winters Corporation research campus. Her parents were killed in a car accident five years ago. Payton blacked out for thirty minutes in her sister Victory's home lab. She didn't tell anyone that there had been a couple of earlier episodes. Collin had another uncontrollable fit of rage, yet felt calm and serenity wrapped around him when Payton was there. Collin had been injected with wolf DNA. This was an excellent book. I loved the way Payton and Collin evolved. This was different from anything I have read, but thoroughly enjoyable. Great characters and plot. Overall great book. I highly recommend it.

Review of Practice Makes Perfect by Charlene Groome - 4 Stars

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** It was Meghan's first day as a public relations coordinator and Keri was her boss. Jared, a hockey player, who thought Megan was a fan, offered to take a picture, then apologized when he found out who she was. Meghan stays on Jared's mind and he want's to get to know more about her. Meghan's best friend is Brie. When Brie brings up her being interested in someone, Jared comes to mind. Meghan works for the hockey team Jared is on. Meghan had been hurt before, so she didn't trust she had a chance with Jared and that he could be who she needed. Lauren assured her that Jared and her were together. She knew her heart but wasn't positive about Jared. Meghan was a good character. I enjoyed the ins and outs with her, as well as Jared and all of the characters. Jared grew and I enjoyed watching that. The story and plot were really good. I would recommend this for anyone that enjoys this genre.

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Grace could read at a first grade level at 5yrs old. Grace became a psychologist that was not afraid to touch and hug her patients, despite her troubling childhood. Excellent story. I don't usually like going between the past and present, but was pleasantly surprised at how much this book held me. I had to finish it. A tribute to an awesome writing talent. Grace was a perfect character. I enjoyed everything about her. As far as I'm concerned this story had everything needed to make an excellent read. I highly recommend.

Review of The Billionaire's Temptation by Katherine Garbera - 4 Stars

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Steffi Harlan worked for Mateo. Mateo's brother was Rocco. Rocco was a Formula 1 racing champion. Rocco and Steffi were to take over the family hotel business while Mateo was in Venice. Steffi had been attracted to Rocco for awhile. Now it seemed he was attracted to her. Steffi had been living by a strict code of rules, but that was before spending time with Rocco. I loved the way she changed and grew, discovering how she really felt. After Rocco had been the Formula 1 champion, he was at loose ends. When left with the co-running of his family's hotel, he too changed and grew. He found something he never realized he was looking for. The book contained good characters and plot. Overall it was a good story. I highly recommend to anyone that likes this genre.

Review of Die For Me: A Bragg Thriller by Jack Lynch - 4 Star

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Bragg had worked on a newspaper as a reporter, but now was a private eye in San Francisco. Maribeth had talked to Bragg years ago when he had been a reporter. By talking to him and on a suicide prevention line, she decided against suicide. Bragg was an interesting character. I liked how he kept going until he found the answers he needed. The plot was good as was the overall story. I recommend to anyone that likes this genre.

Review of Kiss of Fire by Catherine Vale - 4 Stars

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Arianna travels to a castle in Scotland to finish her research on it for her thesis. While there, she meets Craig, the mysterious blacksmith that lives alone at the castle. During a night stuck at the castle, Arianna can’t help but be pulled into Craig’s tragic, but unbelievable, tale. The next morning she wakes up with a little regret until more interactions with Craig refuse to let her deny the overwhelming attraction between them. She also can’t help but believe that he was telling the the truth all along… Overall, this was a really good story. It moved pretty quickly. and had a good plot. My only complaint is with the quickness of the story, I didn’t really feel the characters’ emotional pull to each other at first. I did feel for each character though, especially what Craig had been through. I’d still highly recommend it.

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Isabelle Connelly was 107yrs old. She was trying to paint at the Cliffs of Moher. She was a werewolf that could shift at whim and the alpha's only daughter. Neil was like a brother to Isabelle. He was with her when she was trying to paint him as a wolf. She was Bella Nolan to the art world. Her dad had a rare form of cancer. The doctors gave him 2 yrs and it had already been a year. She had been gathering all of her paintings to show her dad at one time before he died. She believed she still had 12 left to find and purchase. There was bad blood between the MacGraths and the Connellys. The San Fransisco wolf pack no longer welcomed Isabelle's wolf pack. She had to go to San Fransisco to get one of her paintings. Jack MacGrath was bidding on her painting. She was determined he wouldn't get it. Later on, Isabelle learned he had all of her other paintings. Jack was 320yrs old. He didn't re

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Bernice Sutton was in witch prison. The problem is, she didn't know she was a witch and nobody will believe her. Miss Fee, a cross-dressing talking cat, decided he was her familiar and wouldn't take no for an answer. When she's paroled to Paris, Texas, she just wants to do her time, move on, and forget the word witch. Only, Ridge Donovan, the warlock she's forced to work for, is making it pretty tempting to figure everything out and possibly stay. The first thing I have to say is: I WANT A MISS FEE!!!! He was like me, but in cat form!!! He had me in stitches. Anyways, I loved following Bernice on this journey as she had to figure out who she really is and possibly find a real home and family while she is at it. The author has a way of drawing you in not only with the main characters, but also with all of the characters in the town as well as people whose stories I've had t

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Felicity Daniels is in a dead-end life: dead-end town, dead-end job, dead-end short term summer relationships. She wants more but doesn't know how to get it. Then she spots Mason, potential new Summer boy. Only, right from the beginning, she can tell that Mason is SO much more than a Summer boy. Mason's done the repetitive college hookups and after deciding to escape his bruised heart, he decides to work at his uncle's fishing service for the Summer for a change. As soon as he sees Felicity, there's something about her that pulls him to her. If only he can convince her trust in them. This is the third book I've ready by this author and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. The more books of hers I read, the more engrossed I become. It's kind of rare for me to become very emotionally vested in books, but I was totally there with this book. I was yelling at Mason at one point and broken-hearted

Review of The Prince and I by Karen Hawkins - 5 Stars

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Max Romanovin, warrior prince of Oxenburg, is escorting his elderly grandmother, who just might be a Romany witch, to an unwanted house party in Scotland when they are robbed by the Scottish Robin Hood! During the invasion, Max can tell that not everything is as it seems with this band of merry men. He's actually correct, when he finds that Robin Hood is actually Lady Murian, the widow of the Lord that had previously owned the place Max and his grandmother are headed. As Max keeps getting drawn more and more in by Murian, he begins the task of unraveling what really happens when people are in the earl's line of fire.  I loved this little twist on the tale of Robin Hood. Murian was definitely stubborn enough for the title. She stands tall for her people and refuses to take the defeat given to her by the earl lying down. Every time she goes up against Max and his take-charge attitude, even with the best of inte

Review of Secret Pleasure by Lora Leigh - 5 Stars

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Alyssa is finally 18 and allowed to attend a winter party her parents rarely attend. While there, she runs into cousins Shane and Sebastian in a secluded ice garden. Shane and Sebastian are instantly smitten by the innocent Alyssa and can't wait to spend more time with her. That Summer, while in Spain, they surprise and and have a torrid affair that would be unaccepted by most. After they are torn away from her without a trace except a horrible letter, Alyssa is emotionally destroyed. After 8 years of pain, Shane and Sebastian charge back into her life, demanding she reopen her heart and body to them. Wow, this story was HAWT HAWT HAWT, but it was also SO much more. Switching between POVs, the reader is forced to feel all of the pain, anger, and passion that each character, especially Alyssa is going through. This was so much more than just an erotic story. There is a full story taking place espec

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Amy met Sherlene in college 15 yrs before. She was going to Vermont to attend Sherlene's wedding. Amy was a Wall Street banker. Sherlene had thought Amy would've become an artist. She met Sean in Vermont. He was a musician and they both felt immediate attraction. Amy was a woman who was a creative person at heart, but felt she should have a more adult job. She was a Junior Partner in the bank she worked for. She worked very hard to get that promotion, but a weekend in Vermont and an emergency made her see different. I loved the way she changed and with that she was able to find true happiness. I loved the characters. The plot was great, so was the overall story. I highly recommend.

Review of The Comfort of Black by Carter Wilson - 5 Stars

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Hannah is 34 and her husband Dallin is 33. Dallin had been distant recently. They hadn't had sex in 6 weeks. Hannah had a therapist for the last 4 yrs. Dr. Madalyn Britel. Usually she found comfort with her therapist. Her anger was one of the reasons she visited a therapist. Hannah turned into a strong woman. She did what she had to do. She'd finally decided to trust the one person who tried to help her. She turned her life around. I liked her character. I am a romantic at heart and didn't care what happened to Black, but I understood why it happened. The book was still great. It had a great plot and characters. I highly recommend it.

Review of Under the Lights by Rebecca Royce - 4 Stars

Teirney is a stage manager for a Broadway play. She’s seriously attracted to Ian, the Hollywood star currently running a special engagement in the show, but feels she isn’t the type to garner any kind of attention. After he takes a week vacation, he seems to have decided to turn his full attention towards her.Teirney has no idea how committed he is or why he’d even want to be with her. Ian is out to prove to her just how committed. This was a quick read, but the author does a great job with giving a pretty good story and enough detail to add character to her characters. Teirney is pretty much a loner. she loves her job and is comfortable sitting in the background while making sure big productions go off without a hitch. I found myself relating to her, not to mention her reaction after her and Ian’s first time together. I liked Ian a lot. He was at a point that he knew what he was ready for in life and was determined to get it. I liked that the author didn’t make him rogi

Review of A SEAL's Duty by Jennifer Lowery - 5 Stars

Navy SEAL Grey Stone was enjoying a BBQ at his fellow SEAL’s house when his friend’s wife introduced him pediatrician Reganne McCain. Even though he sees no good in any SEALs having long-term relationships, he can’t stay away from her, even though she’s definitely not a one night stand type of person. However, there’s something she’s hiding that makes her resist him more than he wants to resist her. This was a really good story. It gives in to the belief of love at first sight. Through the story, Grey was able to overcome his personal demons to find a piece of happiness. Reganne was also able to get rid of her own. For a novella, it was definitely a full story. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Review of Lessons on St. Barts by Emme Cross - 5 Stars

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Sunny lives on St. Barts and is involved with a movie star, Sven. He was her first lover and truly cared about her. He wanted her to meet him in LA after he finished his next movie. Sunny is hesitant. She just started anew on St. Barts. She had her villas to complete and get up and running, but she did care for Sven. Sunny was such a delight, a human ray of sunshine until she had been hurt, but it took a special someone for her to heal mentally and for her to feel safe again. I loved her character again. I loved Sven's character and how Sunny and Sven both grew once again. This second book was as awesome as the first. I loved all of the characters. I also loved the plot and overall story. I highly recommend this book and this new series.

Review of The Promise of Home by Darcie Chan - 3 Stars

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Claudia Simon's fiance was Kyle Hansen. Kyle's daughter was Rowan. Claudia and Kyle are engaged to be married at Christmas time. I read the book. It's not really bad but I don't particularly for books that go back and forth from past to present. I did see how the parts connected pretty on, for the most part. The story was fairly good, as was the plot. The characters were ok. I liked seeing Michael's growth throughout the book.

Review of Evil Never Dies by T.R. Ragan - 5 Stars

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Hayley, Kitally and Lizzy are part of Lizzy Gardner investigations, but now the three were going after evil people themselves. They had a list of their own of 10 criminals and brought their own brand of justice to these people. Kitally had a brother, who at the age of 6, was taken. Hayley was screwed up and felt her friends knew it. There are really three main characters, Hayley, Kitally and Lizzy, and they are family. They can be caring to people who deserve it, as well as kind and considerate. they all care about the underdog and how evil goes on and how some people get away with the evil that they do. There were great characters, with a really good plot and overall story. I highly recommend it.

Review of Awake by Natasha Preston - 5 Stars

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Scarlett noticed the new boy at school, whose name was Noah. Scarlett remembers nothing before the age of 4. There was a house fire and she and her brother Jeremy had smoke inhalation. When she woke up, she couldn't remember anything. Scarlett was starting to remember bits and pieces of her past and it wouldn't leave her alone. In all the story, Scarlett grew. She had a lot happen to her, but in the end, she trusted in love. She was caring and loyal. She was definitely a good character. Noah had a role to play and tried, but feelings got involved. He was loyal, but tore as to what he should be loyal to. He had been caring, he did what he thought was right. Love showed him the answer. He was a great character. All of the characters were great in this story, even the villains. It was a really good plot and overall story. I highly recommend.

Review of Starry Knight by Nina Mason - 5 Stars

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Callum had been a knight and a baron who had been mortally wounded but Belphoebe made him a special drink and he healed. Then she took him to Avalon, but then Callen was to be sacrificed and Belphoebe once again rescued him. When he got back home, he found out that 2 centuries had passed. Vanessa was very independent and a rebel against her family. She didn't believe in love or being romantic. She felt nobody could love her or ever had, even her parents. Then she made sure of a meeting with Callum. She was an excellent character that grew through this story. Callum was a romantic. He was a good man. He was loyal and kind to those he cared for, especially Vanessa. I loved how he was so manly and yet insecure about Vanessa and his feelings for her. He was another great character, as they all were. It was an awesome plot and overall story. I highly recommend it.

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Aidan was 34. He had his own construction business he'd built up on his own. He was a perfectionist by nature. The most important thing to Aidan was his family's happiness, his dad's, his brothers' and his little sister's. Aidan was the responsible one in the family. He was the oldest. He had helped his dad since his mom had passed away several years before. Zoe was an interior decorator. She had her own business but gave it up and moved to start anew. She was called to fix what the other interior decorator had messed up in Aidan's model home and made sure the other 5 were done perfectly by her boss Martha. Zoe also found herself attracted to Aidan. Aidan is set in his life. He is the go-to guy with any problem and he will set it right. He loved his family and took it to the extreme at one point. But, he grew, changed and found love. I love his character and how he grew. Zoe was

Ajax had wanted Sophie when he seen her down Bourbon Street scantily clad. Sophie was stubborn and independent. She had never really known passion until Ajax. Piper Oakes is on the run. Her alpha has been trying to force a mating onto her and all he does is make her skin crawl. She hopes there’s a way to “kill” her wolf so that she is no longer pursued. Jaxon Comyn is finishing up his residency at a human hospital. When he notices Piper and sees that she’s sick in a way that she shouldn’t be, he’s determined to help her. When he realizes she’s his natural mate, he’ll do whatever it takes to make her safe. This was a really good story. The idea of multiple authors working in a single author’s “world” is definitely interesting. I loved reading this author’s take on the other author’s world. It let me see the writing I enjoy in a different setting. The story itself was fairly short, making it a quick, but full, read. The author did a great job of giving full characters with a full storyline. I look forward to reading the other books in this world and more from this author. Highly recommend.

It’s Sadie’s wedding celebration to Jackson and Dane, her two soul mates and bear shifters. The next day, when both Jackson and Dane are called away on an emergency, Sadie decides to go with her BFF to the mall when they notice a man that seems to be targeting Sadie. When they get kidnapped, Sadie is terrified she’ll never see her bears again. This was a really good book. Having not read the first one, I wasn’t sure how much I would like it. However, the author does a great job of creating such a story that you don’t feel like you’re missing something by not having read the first book first. It’s quite clear from the beginning how Sadie feels, along with everything she goes through. I can’t wait to read the first book!

Review of Never Cry Wolf by Catherine Vale - 4 Stars

Reece Golden returned to one of his ranches when he found out that his old mentor had passed away suddenly. When he headed to the ranch to meet the niece that inherited it, he couldn’t believe the condition it was in. As soon as he meets Jade, the niece who inherited it, they butt heads as he makes a deal with her to keep the ranch in the family and not sell it off. Overall this was a really good book. It was fairly short, but there was a good, full story with fleshed out characters and HAWT scenes. My only complaint has to do with Jade. When she and Reece are arguing, when he lays in his final insults to her, her having lived in NY, she shouldn’t have taken his insults the ways he did. Even a quiet New Yorker wouldn’t (speaking from personal experience). I did love how she proved him wrong though. I would recommend it to anyone that likes haw werewolf shifter stories.

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Shay has been in love with Joe, her brother’s BFF for as long as she could remember. Too bad he’s a player always looking for the next party. When he was a pro in the NFL, Shay was forced to see just how much Joe got around. Coming back home to Texas, she finds that her brother, off in Wyoming working, has invited Joe to stay at their home while he’s in town to visit. This puts Shay’s feelings, as well as her insecurities, to the forefront. Joe has finally noticed that his friend’s little sister isn’t so little anymore. The problem is, he’s not sure how to convince Shay he’s not the same guy he used to be either. The author did a great job of building  the characters and giving them a complete and believable history. Shay has finally come to terms that she needs to get over Joe just as she finds him in her home. This causes her to lash out at him in a way that at first seems spiteful and childish, but as you get fur

MJ told Maddy she was his heart and he would fight before he would let anyone take her. Maddy had some special powers of her own. The characters were good, especially Maddy, who was overwhelmed with powers she couldn't control and the love she couldn't state and MJ. The plot was good as was the overall story. It dragged a little bit, but overall a good story. I recommend, although I didn't like the ending.

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Tara was a waitress at Graceful Mermaid. She dreamed of owning her own place. Tara decided to swing over to Spyders. Nora was the barmaid at Spyders, who had a 6yr old daughter, Ruby. As Tara was leaving, a man started talking to her and ended up attacking her. When she suddenly found some kind of super strength and fought back, she seemed to suck the life out of him. Tara had a lot of changes going on with her, but she handled them the best she could. She could be kind, loving, loyal and giving. She could also be strong, stubborn, and determined. I loved her character and how she grew so much through the story. All the other characters were excellent. The plot and overall story were excellent. I'm looking forward to see if more stories will follow this one. I recommend it highly.

Audra was a housekeeper on Romance Island who just got bumped up to taking care of the VIP villas. She had been working part-time on hospitality jobs since she turned 14, 7yrs ago. She always had a crush on Jay Felix. I loved the characters and plots, but I felt the ending left you hanging, but the rest of the story was great. I recommend, just a note on the ending. I would've preferred an Epilogue so the story had been complete.

Trace was growing tired of his job. Vessina had been physically and mentally hurt, no one taking her side. Vessina's best friend turned her back on Vessina, but Vessina was strong and walked away to start anew. She was honest, loyal, and true. She did what she had to do and then she met Trace. I loved all of the characters in this story. I hope to read the next story that I got an except of at the end of this one. The plot and overall story was great.

Kat had to do a paper on a double murder that happened in 1886. Ghosts were things that Kat had actively avoided for the last 8 years. Ghosts were a constant presence since childhood, but Kat had some things to help her. Kat was a young woman who had powers and she connected with her ancestors to do what had to be done. She was a great character, as were all the others. The plot and overall story were very entertaining. I highly recommend.

This is definitely a crime drama that kept me at the edge of my seat. It’s predominantly from David’s POV, so we follow his double life as he gets close to the woman he’s cared about for so long, only to be shown proof that she’s way more than he thinks. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Damon Black was on a rescue mission. He was to make sure Addie MacShay was safe. Damon's best friend was Jim. Damon was a wolf shifter and so was Addie. Damon was good at fun. He liked fun. Niall and Alistar had hired him to help. Addie had been uncomfortable and felt like she was being watched. The brothers didn't need to be there while Addie did her job. She was a cataloger. She had to break down everything of value. Addie was an independent wolf and an empath, so it had been a while since any skin to skin touching. She could also be bold, but she was loyal, honest, and true. When able, she was caring, kind and an excellent character. Damon was a lone wolf who had lost a love early in his life that he'd thought was his mate. He could be cocky, but he was caring, protective, kind and funny. He was another excellent character. The story and plot were great. I really enjoyed the story. I recommend it.

Review of Love on St. Barts by Emme Cross - 5 Stars

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Sunny O'Hara was returning to St. Barts to discover her roots and to bring her dad's ashes back. She has plans on what she wants to do with her life on St. Barts. Sunny was a very positive person. She had lists for everything. She was kind, sweet, and loyal. She also had a great personality, but she was also naive in the ways of sex. She was an excellent character and I loved her. Sven was working on his career and lived the life of a movie star, but was starting to think he needed to make a change in his career and for himself. He was caring, kind, and loyal, especially when it came to Sunny. He changed and grew. I loved his character. There were a lot of good characters in this story. It was a great plot and overall story. I highly recommend it to anyone that likes this genre.

Review of If He's Noble by Hannah Howell - 3 Stars

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Lady Primrose Wootten is searching for her brother when Sir Bened Vaughan sees her tangled in the woods looking for her horse. Her father had just died and she needed to let her brother know and avoid their aunt. When it becomes clear that their aunt wants more than to just take over. Bened refuses to leave Primrose. While there is more to him than normal men, she slowly makes him want much more. I had mixed feelings about this book. There were a number of things I went back and forth on. For example, I didn’t really “feel” the two main character’s instant attractions, but I did like their overall characters, particularly Bened’s. Yet, part of him irritated me as he was determined Primrose kept hiding more from him, but there really wasn’t any more she was hiding from him. I also didn’t like his reason for leaving in the end, when I felt her character left his feelings unfounded. With Bened’s character, he reall

Review of The Best of Both Rogues by Samantha Grace - 3 Stars

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Eve Thorne was jilted at the alter by Benjamin Hillary two years before. She was never given a reason as he left and went to India. She accepted another man’s proposal and now he’s back and seems to be turning up everywhere she goes. Overall this was a decent story. It had the makings of being really great. I really liked Eve’s character during the first half of the book, but when she forgives him easily after just a few words, I felt it wasn’t deserved yet as he still hadn’t really given her a reason. From his POV, we already basically know why he left and his reasoning, which is definitely different from a lot of the historical romances. There weren’t really many huge plot points or pivotal moments, but it was decently written and there were definitely some funny parts. I did like the subterfuge of the second fiancĂ©’s character. I think anyone that likes historical romances will like it.

Review of How To Get Lucky by Erin McCarthy - 5 Stars

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Allison Parker was hanging at the local bar with her friends, lamenting her lack of a successful life when her psychic friend makes a prediction that may or may not change her life. While at the bar, she made some rude comments about a rock star who was at the bar and being mobbed by fans. When he heard her, to save face, she kept up with the snarky remarks. Rather than be totally offended at the brunette’s comments, Marco Lucky became intrigued. He was a little pleased that he finally found a woman that didn’t just fall at his feet for who and what he was. After leaving the bar, Allison takes her psychic friend’s advice and buys a lottery ticket. The next night, she actually wins the lottery. While she’s celebrating at the bar, Marco happened to wander in again, in hopes of seeing her again. What starts out as a night of happiness, becomes a night of inner reflection and just absolute connection with Marco. Whe
