Review of Her Wild Hero by Paige Tyler

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review**
Kendra Carlsen works at the DCO but only in the office. After begging her boss to send her out in the field for the past 3 years, he finally grants her wish. She will be going to South America with bear shifter Declan MacBride and his team. Over the years, she has declined any time Declan has asked her out on a date. Only, recently, she's noticed he's much hotter than she ever gave him credit for. Now he seems to not want her around him at all. Is it too late to let him know she wants him too? While in South America, the collaborate teams are all attacked and Declan and Kendra manage to barely survive. Now they are on their own in the jungle, hoping to survive until backup can find them. Stuck together by circumstance, it's hard for them to fight the chemistry that is flowing between them. Hopefully they live long enough to enjoy it.
Declan, Declan, Declan. I now have a new favorite type of shifter:) I absolutely love this guy. He's smart, strong, and SO alone. He hates the shifter side of himself because of the pain it's caused. After being crazy for Kendra for so long and giving up on that too, he's afraid his shifter side will yet again force him to leave the life he's finally built for himself. Kendra is really smart, but in denial about what was right in front of her as, in the past, she only looked at those she felt were her "type". This changes once Kendra starts noticing Declan more. As Declan finds out, Kendra is way more than she appears. She is not only smart, but she can take care of herself and handle one heck of a gun. As the story moves on and her feels for Declan grow, they grow to such an extent that she's willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for him.
I really liked this book. I loved seeing Declan finally get a little piece of Heaven after everything he's went through. My only complaint is how quickly Kendra falls completely for him. For some reason, it didn't work for me as up until the start of the book, she didn't even like him. However, her determination and her feelings are what helps in the end. I can't wait to read more from this series and this author. I highly recommend this book.
