Jessie McMillan and her baby have just moved to the town of her best friend, enjoying a fresh start where her son will safely be around other shifters. She didn’t count on her baby’s father and the enigma of a 3-day fling to also live there.
This is a short and sweet story about two lost souls finding happiness, even when one of them unconsciously denies that he can have a soul mate. Perfect for the holidays and anyone that likes shifter stories.

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Maddy was dating an angel, MJ. MJ is a protector who has broken a lot of rules, but some he had to keep. MJ told Maddy she was his heart and he would fight before he would let anyone take her. Maddy had some special powers of her own. The characters were good, especially Maddy, who was overwhelmed with powers she couldn't control and the love she couldn't state and MJ. The plot was good as was the overall story. It dragged a little bit, but overall a good story. I recommend, although I didn't like the ending.

He was from Tennessee and he was an attorney. Maggie was a cake decorator and childhood friend of Fiona, the bride. Maggie and her sister Emily had formed Two Heart Catering two months before.
