Cacy was a ferry. The veil is a window to the afterlife. Cacy's father, Patrick Ferry, took her into the veil and told her it was time for her to understand the family business.
Eli and Galena Margolis are siblings. They were refugees from the West. They have an apartment waiting for them because of Galena. She has a high importance because of her research. Eli was starting a new job at the EMS station. Declan Ferry was the chief there. Patrick Ferry was the CEO of Psychopomps and had announced his retirement. Rylan, Dec and Cacy's brother, was the new CEO. Cacy was a paramedic and Eli's new partner. Galena had a faculty position in the Harvard University in the immunology department. Eli's work was his haven. Cacy and Eli went on an emergency call where Cacy's father and employees had been attacked. Eli tried but couldn't save Cacy's dad. The other paramedics blamed Eli for not doing enough. Cacy was not the princess she could've been. Instead she kept risking her life to save injured & sick people.
I found Cacy to be brave, honest, humane and she had a heart. She also had spirit and honor. Eli was a very loyal man. He was also brave and caring. He loved his sister very deeply but he felt guilt from an incident when she was attacked.
This was a very good book. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes Paranormal stories.

Review of Ignited by Laurie Wetzel - 4 Stars

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Maddy was dating an angel, MJ. MJ is a protector who has broken a lot of rules, but some he had to keep. MJ told Maddy she was his heart and he would fight before he would let anyone take her. Maddy had some special powers of her own. The characters were good, especially Maddy, who was overwhelmed with powers she couldn't control and the love she couldn't state and MJ. The plot was good as was the overall story. It dragged a little bit, but overall a good story. I recommend, although I didn't like the ending.

Her Wolf by Rebecca Royce My rating: 4 of 5 stars Ashlee Morrison thinks she’s going crazy...again. She’s become a bit obsessed with a wolf who may or may not be talking to her. Tristan Kane is a shifter that has been stuck in his wolf form and trapped at a zoo. When he finally gets a real scent of a worker that he’s been keeping an eye on makes him realize that she’s actually his mate. Like with all of this author’s books, this was a really good story and I really loved all of the characters. I really felt for Ashlee as she basically had her world flipped upside down right from the beginning. The only thing that bothered me was that it felt rushed in some places where I would’ve liked it to not have been.
