Review of Rebellion of a Chalet Girl by Lorraine Wilson

Tash is 23 and works at the Chalet Repos. She's been tuning out lately, getting drunk as often as possible. Scott and Holly are almost like family to Tash and she's insecure with Holly's baby on the way. Nathaniel Campbell is with the Lion Den, an organization where anyone under 25 with a business plan can apply for grants to better their lives. Rebecca has taken Sofie's replacement. Her dad is a judge. She really doesn't need to work. Tash and Rebecca really don't get along because of Tash. Tash is instantly attracted to Nate and he's not at all like she thought he'd be. Tash had been to 14 foster homes. She used to cut herself and Nate noticed.
I found that Tash has cut herself off from the world so nobody can hurt her. Few people are allowed to know her well enough to touch her life. She feels that nobody truly wants her. She's insecure and yet she's much stronger than she knows, a survivor. As her story goes on, you have to root for her. Nate is a good man. He has a large heart, is loyal and caring. He is strong emotionally as well as physically and is a bit stubborn. He's used to being in charge and being listened to.
I enjoyed reading the book and would recommend it.
