Beth leaves to go to college to find some independence. Before she even gets to college, there's an incident that involves a live wire. Instead of being rescued, she rescues the person trying to help her. She sees a dark haired male in the distance. She gets to college and instantly clashes with her roommate. She meets a guy named Flynn that appears to be taken with her. Along with being half vampire, she also has premonitions of things to come. She gets invited to go to a carnival and while there she has a premonition of a car flying off the ride. The excitement goes from there, including Flynn and a carnie having an interest in her and her reactions to it all. I found the book to be very interesting and well written. It hit upon a lot of paranormal areas. There were definite surprises in the plot, rather than one that you can figure before it happens.

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Maddy was dating an angel, MJ. MJ is a protector who has broken a lot of rules, but some he had to keep. MJ told Maddy she was his heart and he would fight before he would let anyone take her. Maddy had some special powers of her own. The characters were good, especially Maddy, who was overwhelmed with powers she couldn't control and the love she couldn't state and MJ. The plot was good as was the overall story. It dragged a little bit, but overall a good story. I recommend, although I didn't like the ending.

He was from Tennessee and he was an attorney. Maggie was a cake decorator and childhood friend of Fiona, the bride. Maggie and her sister Emily had formed Two Heart Catering two months before. Emily called Maggie away from Chad as the cake had been ruined. Maggie was the responsible and reliable half of the company. Emily was the creative cook.
