Review of Patyon's Pursuit by Joanne Jaytanie - 5 Stars

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Payton is one of three triplets. She manages Winters Corporation research campus. Her parents were killed in a car accident five years ago. Payton blacked out for thirty minutes in her sister Victory's home lab. She didn't tell anyone that there had been a couple of earlier episodes. Collin had another uncontrollable fit of rage, yet felt calm and serenity wrapped around him when Payton was there. Collin had been injected with wolf DNA. This was an excellent book. I loved the way Payton and Collin evolved. This was different from anything I have read, but thoroughly enjoyable. Great characters and plot. Overall great book. I highly recommend it.

Review of If I Say Yes by Brandy Jellum

Elizabeth's father killed her mother. Liza loves the thriller genre. Liza feels that nobody has imagination anymore, yet she's forced to work on the romance floor of Harden's Literary Agent House. She had interned for the last year for experience and ended up with a good job. However, working in romance the last three months, she hasn't signed an author yet. Liza's heart had been broken. She didn't believe in happy endings. Liza had a new boss, Reid, that was the owner's nephew. Elias/Eli is Liza's best friend. He's been the only constant throughout her life. Eli is the polar opposite of Liza. He has no problem hanging loose and seeing where life leads him. In Liza's world, everything is perfect and under her control. Eli always gave Liza a sense of calm and grounding. Liza gets an anonymous email stating the person knows who she really is and to watch her step. Liza is a broken person because of her past, but she does grow and heal as the story...

Review of Cult Midnight Movies by Danny Peary

Image
This book is a collection of 37 movies that could only be categorized as true cult movies, the subtext being the best weird, sleazy, sexy and crazy. The author gives very in-depth detail of the top movies in this genre. He includes, not only the details of the movies, his opinions no the movies, but also information on the actors, the making of the movies, the stories behind them, and also sorts of info. I'm a huge movie fan. I love watching off-beat movies that would be considered cult favorites. However, I had only heard of some of the movies in this book, like John Waters' Pink Flamingos with the late great Divine, and had only watched one or two of them. This book gave me some great ideas for movies to try to track down. I would recommend it for anyone that loves these kinds of movies.
