Review of Dirt Daughter by Michele Shaw - 4 Stars

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review**
Elena Black was 17. She had lied, but after 8 years, she wanted to tell the truth about her friend Lizzy's death when she was 9. Elena's Uncle Rick, who was also her step-father, was abusive. Elena met Chayton and had to keep her secrets even from him. Elena was in a no-win situation. She loved her mom and her little brother. She was responsible. She had plans for her life, but she also had a conscious. She was caring and kind when she could be. I liked her character. Chayton was a new kid in town and a senior. He liked Elena, even fell for her. He was kind, caring, funny, and sweet. I loved his character.
The characters were all good. The story and overall book was good. I recommend.
