It took Minka Pajari weeks of walking through a jungle to get close to home after being tortured for months in a lab she finally escaped from, a lab that had turned her into a monster. As she took a few minutes to rest, several men tried to attack her and the monster took over. Then she heard HIM and somehow her monster started to calm…
This was a really good book. I really loved the instant connect and safety that Minka felt for Angelo and how he instantly became her protector. The book flowed really well and kept you completely immersed. I highly recommend.

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Maddy was dating an angel, MJ. MJ is a protector who has broken a lot of rules, but some he had to keep. MJ told Maddy she was his heart and he would fight before he would let anyone take her. Maddy had some special powers of her own. The characters were good, especially Maddy, who was overwhelmed with powers she couldn't control and the love she couldn't state and MJ. The plot was good as was the overall story. It dragged a little bit, but overall a good story. I recommend, although I didn't like the ending.

He was from Tennessee and he was an attorney. Maggie was a cake decorator and childhood friend of Fiona, the bride. Maggie and her sister Emily had formed Two Heart Catering two months before.
