Jayson Harmon was severly injured during a mission a while ago. Since then he’s felt less than a man. He also doesn’t understand why Layla Halliwell wants anything to do with him. When an opportunity to make him complete comes along, he jumps at the chance, regardless the risks.
My heart broke for Jayson when he was introduced in a previous book, so I was excited to see he got his own book and it didn’t disappoint. His determination to be the the man he feels Layla deserves at all costs made me love him even more. I thought Layla complimented him perfectly. She loves him for the man he is, scars and all and is willing to do anything to stay with him through everything. I absolutely loved it and highly recommend.

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Maddy was dating an angel, MJ. MJ is a protector who has broken a lot of rules, but some he had to keep. MJ told Maddy she was his heart and he would fight before he would let anyone take her. Maddy had some special powers of her own. The characters were good, especially Maddy, who was overwhelmed with powers she couldn't control and the love she couldn't state and MJ. The plot was good as was the overall story. It dragged a little bit, but overall a good story. I recommend, although I didn't like the ending.

He was from Tennessee and he was an attorney. Maggie was a cake decorator and childhood friend of Fiona, the bride. Maggie and her sister Emily had formed Two Heart Catering two months before.
