The Werewolf Cowboy - 5 Stars
Of all the VonBrondt’s in Somewhere, TX, Allan is the most human-like. He embraces his role as sheriff and protector of humans. He doesn’t believe in the idea of pre-destined mates and even plans on eventually marrying a human. When there are packs from other states in his town, Allan is very leary, especially when he’s called to the bar over a disturbance. Reyna DuBois is the daughter of the alpha from Louisiana and she embodies everything Allan hates about wolves. When she feels the mate magic after scenting Allan, she pulls out all of the stops to rope the cowboy, even as he runs in the other direction.
I was really happy to see Allan finally get his own book. I loved watching the back and forth between him and Reyna as he fought his destiny. It was quick, but full of story. I loved it and highly recommend.
The Werewolf Bodyguard - 5 Stars
Marco DiSanti is a top chef in Las Vegas. He’s also a werewolf that’s never met another werewolf. While schmoozing the top-paying clientele, he scents something he’s only scented one other time, another werewolf. He can’t believe it when it also turns out to be a beautiful woman. Aria LaBlanc isn’t sure what to make of the werewolf that seems to be as full of it as a stuffed pastry. With the week she’s been having, she doesn’t have a lot of patience for his antics. When he claims he’s never met any other werewolves, she immediately contacts her alpha to figure out truth whether he likes it or not.
I was happy to see Aria find happiness in the end. She’s basically had her world turned upside down and trying to cope. In the same aspect, she basically turns Marco’s world upside down, but in the end they are able to make it through together. I’m also really getting into the overall plot that started with the other books I’ve read. It keeps everything fresh and makes me impatient for the next book. I highly recommend this book and the series.
The Werewolf Ranger - 5 Stars
Ranier Dubois is getting ready to head to Mexico with the other enforcers from the other packs. While awaiting orders, the snooty wolf from the East Coast, Nora Cavanaugh grabs him for a quick tryst. Nora refuses to acknowledge anything with Rain, even though they can’t seem to keep their hands to themselves, even though it seems to be endangering their case.
I really loved following Rain as he unraveled the mystery that was Nora. I also loved the continuation of the overall story to find the evil wolf. it was a very quick and enjoyable read. I highly recommend.
Chasing a Wolf - 4 Stars
Tomas Rivera and the rest of the enforcers have split up to find out which mountain pack was able to put a stop to the evil wolf. When he’s essentially drugged and forced into a sex tent, the one that seduces him isn’t the one that was supposed to be in there. Citlani is desperate to find her mother. When she gives herself to the stranger, marrying him in her tribe’s traditions and forcing a bond, she hopes her body is enough to get him to help her since nobody in her tribe will.
Like the others in this series, this book was really good. It was really quick. I enjoyed reading Citlani’s inner struggle as she deals with the traditions she was raised with and the outsider that is Tomas and the fact that he isn’t acting like any of the men she grew up with or was warned about. I love the continuation of the growing overall story and can’t wait for the next part. I highly recommend.
**I received an ARC of these stories in exchange for an honest review
