Review: Much Ado About Highlanders

Much Ado About Highlanders Much Ado About Highlanders by May McGoldrick
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Alexander Macpherson agreed to an arranged marriage to Kenna Mackay. What he didn’t agree to was her running away on their wedding night. Now that she’s in his sights again, he’s determined to not let her go.
Overall this was a really great book. I absolutely LOVED Kenna’s character. She was probably one of my favorite female characters in a long time, if ever. I really liked Alexander’s character too, especially as he grew more determined that he wanted to keep Kenna. My only problem is with a reference to Alexander. The description on the book states him as a widower, which there’s no reference to this in the book. It actually takes place months after Kenna took off, which didn’t bother me. The only reference to his character is that he slept with a lot of women. This irritated me because there didn’t seem to be any reason to bring this up in the book, especially with no reference to a deceased wife. Overall though, it’s a great book. I look forward to reading more from this author. I highly recommend.
