Hear No Evil (Alpha Guardians Book 2)
Gabriel Thorne is one of the Alpha Guardians and a bear shifter. He's originally from London England from several hundred years ago. When he sees Cassie, he knows she's his mate. Unlike others, he doesn't want a mate for fear that he can't protect her. Cassie is an Oracle that has been held captive by Pere Mal. When the Alpha Guardians rescue her and Gabriel is found to be her mate, she picks up on his reluctance at having a mate which adds an irritation to the situation. While they struggle through figuring out how to end the next piece to Pere Mal's plan, they slowly form the bond that was meant to be.
This is the continuation of the overall battle of the Alpha Guardians as the protect New Orleans and start to find their mates. While it's a relatively short book, the author is able to fit in a full story while continuing the overall story. It's pretty fast-paced and I was unable to put it down until it was finished.
**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review**
