Trick Novak is on leave from his team's latest mission, suffering from Insomnia. The only cure he's yet to find is a night with a woman. When he wakes up next to one whose name he doesn't even remember, he feels kind of bad. As he attempts to leave, he finds out that her roommate, Gabby, is actually the one whose attention he'd actually wanted. Problem is, she wants nothing to do with a womanizer, especially one that hooked up with her roommate. When Trick keeps running in to her, he decides he won't take no for an answer when it comes to going on a date with her. He's just not sure how to get her to fully change her mind about him.
Trick, being the consummate bad boy and right from the beginning, finding someone he seriously wants to pursue, is just really sweet as he tries to win Gaby over. His determination and drive really show as he unwittingly changes his ways for Gaby. I totally understand Gaby's stance on the situation and her reluctance to fall for someone like Trick. Gaby is one that doesn't really put herself out there for people. She's kind of a loner because of her all of her work and dating is just something she doesn't even consider, so Trick's pursuit is something that kind of overwhelms her.
I just loved this story. It was a fairly quick read and really sweet. No huge plot points, but there didn't need to be. I recommend it to anyone that likes contemporary/SEALs books.

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Adam slept with Lisa, who was a married woman. Nathanial was Adam's only friend. Nathanial was the marina's manager. Sienna is renting a cottage with her best friend Lauren. Sienna had to re-edit her romance script. Sienna wasn't sure if she believed that love conquered all anymore. Even though he was a womanizer, Sienna was attracted to Adam. He was also attracted to her, but knew he should stay away. Sienna was naive as far as passionate experiences went and her ex-boyfriend made her question whether or not she was frigid. She was a kind, warm and loving person trying to get a little breathing room from her dad. Carleigh was a restoration specialist. Evie was a friend Carleigh had in college. She'd told her grandmother about Carleigh and she'd been hired to restore Evie's grandmother's home. Carleigh had a daughter named Lucy that would be going with her to Peppernell Manor. Carleigh owned Warner Restorations and lived in Chicago. Brad was her ex-husband and Lucy's father. Cora/Camille was Evie's grandmother and her daughter was Ruby, who had anxiety issues. Evie's brother was Heath, who had a twin named Harlan. When Heath was not in Charleston, he helped his grandmother run the farm. Harlan wants investors to be brought in to pay for the restorations. Cora/Camille is against it and said she may have the state of South Carolina take over the home. Then people start turning up dead. Carleigh is a very sweet person.
